The utter bankruptcy of the global Marxist politician-run U.N. IPCC version of climate science has resulted in the howler that the heat from atmospheric CO2 is equal to x number of hydrogen bombs per second. The truth is that it isn't anywhere equal to one, because of one of their big lies, namely, the denial of color temperature, the most basic fact of radiation heating, which we all tacitly acknowledge when we say that something is red-hot or white-hot.
A Planck blackbody radiator starts glowing red at about 500C (3.748 microns), and white at about 1200C (1.967 microns). The hottest surface temperature recorded so far on Earth is 56.7C (135.6F), recorded in Death Valley on July 10, 1913. The color would be about 8.761 microns, which is invisible to the human eye. and can't come close to the temperature of an H-bomb, which starts at 100 million C (28.98 picometers).
Photons have an internal energy inversely dependent on wavelength, limiting the maximum temperature they can raise a black body to. The heat in how many frozen turkeys equals one H-bomb?
Yet howlers like this go unchallenged throughout the Internet.
